The generalization of electronic invoicing for companies, from mid-2024, is based on a new overall device exchange of information using the services of dematerialization platforms, including the Chorus Pro public portal. While this system introduces profound changes in financial management processes, and the project affects both business departments (Purchases, finances, etc.), legal and IT, it is recommended that companies do not wait in order to avoid disappointment. Beyond the technical aspects, the driving change is crucial to keep to the schedule. It is important to avoid automating the existing mode of operation as it is, at the risk of developing a “gas factory” and missing out on major optimization opportunities. "In this regard, due to its position at the center of the system and its vision of the entire chain, the purchasing function has a major role to play", insists Bertrand Gabriel, Director of Development and Strategic Accounts at Acxias. .
To facilitate the transition, the General Directorate of Public Finance (DGFip) of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Recovery, announced during the 2022 edition of Electronic Invoice Day, the launch of a pilot phase during the first half of 2024. Produced from real data via the public portal, this pilot aims to test all the functionalities ofe-invoicing (electronic invoicing) ande-reporting (transmission of transaction data) over a reduced scope of approximately 300 “volunteer” entities: companies, service providers, solution providers (dematerialization operators, software publishers, partner dematerialization platforms). It will make it possible to check the operation of the system and identify the difficulties, with the objective of optimizing and identifying good practices to be generalized in the following phases. Its aim is also to communicate and raise awareness, with "strong, individual and collective support from the administration", and sharing of feedback demonstrating that "it works" and thus reassure the business community.
