The Crisis Covid-19 pandemic has led to a sharp acceleration in the digitalization of business purchasing practices, according to the study " B2B - e-Commerce Purchases next Content and Mediametry in October and November 2020. In this study, conducted in partnership with the Federation e-commerce and distance selling (Fevad) among 1,645 people making purchases on the Internet in a professional capacity, 34% of respondents say that the situation has led them to develop online orders at the expense of other channels and, for two thirds of them, that this transfer to e-commerce is now acquired. The development of telework and video conferencing would also have transformed relationship with suppliers, a quarter of buyers even consider that the reduction in face-to-face appointments will be sustainable. These appointments could be reserved for key operations such as responding to a call for tenders, negotiating a framework contract, purchasing a complex and expensive service or product, etc.
