The purchasing digitization agency Acxias announces the establishment of an RPA (Robotic Process Automation) center of expertise, composed of a team of several engineers specialized in Source-to-contract[1] and Procure-to-pay[2] processes under the technical direction of Guillaume Vassaux[3].
This decision aims to meet the growing demand of companies for the robotization of repetitive tasks within the purchasing, procurement and accounts payable functions, Acxias' core business.
Several projects are already engaged with partner companies, requiring mastery of the most mature solutions in the RPA market, such as Blue Prism, UiPath[4], Contextor, or Automation Anywhere.
The team has just, in particular, finalized the production of two RPA robots for the Operational Support Department of Safran Purchasing, the french industrial and technology group's non-production purchasing management.
Large companies are undertaking an increasing number of projects to robotize repetitive and tedious operations, especially in support functions (purchases, finance, human resources, etc.).
Robotics frees employees from low-value-added tasks, allowing them to focus on their strategic missions.
The support by robots for these tasks also leads to improved the quality of services (accelerated treatments, reduced errors, etc.) and reduced management costs.
An IGH study[5] confirms that the implementation of RPA mechanisms allows repetitive tasks to be performed five to ten times faster, with an average of 37% fewer resources. According to the study, 92% of companies will have deployed robotic automation by the end of 2019 to streamline business processes.
In addition to technical expertise and knowledge of RPA solutions, Acxias draws on its knowledge of the needs, processes and digital solutions of the field of purchasing, procurement and accounts payable to help its customers quickly identify robotizable processes, and accelerate the implementation of robots on these business processes. Acxias thus allows its customers to gain a competitive advantage and a quick return on investment.
Acxias also pays particular attention to change management to facilitate the transition of teams to new activities that create more value, and make robots allies operational actors rather than substitutes, thus facilitating the adoption and internal deployment of these transformation agents.
